Great Reading App for your Preschooler

Published on May 22, 2012, by

Last week I posted a review of the new eBook series by  Nicole Fonovich, titled Luca Lashes .  At the end of the review, I mentioned that there was also an interactive app available.  The publisher offered me an opportunity to review the app, and I have to say that my daughter loved it.  It basically is an eBook, with music.  What I love about it is that the app reads the book to my daughter.  So if we are on a long car trip, she can still partake in her favorite pastime – reading.  She also enjoys interacting with the book, such as making the birds fly, or the dog bark and wag its tail.  I’ve had the app on my iPad for about a week now, and she still hasn’t lost interest.  We’ve downloaded similar apps, and she’s visited them a couple of times, but then they fizzle out after a couple of days.  And at $3.99, it is cheaper than less interactive eBooks that we’ve purchased for the Nook Kids app.  While those do offer the “Read to Me” feature, they do not have the interactivity that Luca Lashes offers.

The apps are available for Apple®, Android™, Amazon™, & NOOK, I would suggest checking it out!
