Thankful Thursday

Instead of the usual crazy rantings of my Thought-filled Thursdays, I thought I’d just post a few things I am thankful for.

1. My kids – they fill me with such joy. Even when my youngest is galloping around the house at break-neck speeds, chasing the terrified cat because she is a “crazy horse on the rampage”, I love them and can’t imagine what I would be doing without them.
2. My husband – he makes my heart smile. I have been blessed with a loving, sweet and gentle man. And even though he teases me for all of my crazy moments, blonde moments, and the “Oh my gosh, I’m about to have a nervous breakdown!” moments, he loves me for them too.
3. My family – I have two very awesome sisters! That is enough to feel blessed, but I also have some pretty amazing parents. Double whammy! And then God tripled the blessing with a wonderful mother-in-law and father-in-law as well.
4. My friends – we are now spread out over the country, but I love that I can pick up the phone (or chat on Facebook) like miles and years are not between us!
5. My God – this is really number one! I placed this at the bottom, not because of importance, but because He fills me with joy and peace first, and everything else is just blessings on top it all!

You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. (1 Peter 1:8 NLT, emphasis mine)

You prepare a feast for me
in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil.
My cup overflows with blessings.
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
forever. (Psalm 23:5, 6 NLT, emphasis mine)

Happy Thanksgiving!
